Yes! I wasn't going to say it for the spoilers, but bang out of nowhere my favorite character in the movie dead, and I loved it. Of course it's not their best because The Big Lebowski is impossibly good, not to mention Fargo.
Yeah, this movie caught alot of flak for being underwhelming and I have no idea why. its on my top 5 movies of 2008, and I think I preferred it to No Country. how the hell could you not love those last few scenes?
Thank you guys for not fawning over No Country for Old Men, because although it is a great movie it's only as good as the novel by Cormac Mccarthy and I'm sick of people acting like they fucking wrote it. It's just a flex of their technical muscle.
I liked this alot, and I thought the scene where Malkovich meets Pitt for the first time in the car and Pitt keeps squinting his eyes and trying to be suave was the funniest scene of the year. Best of the year for me was The Wrestler though, overall.
Well it's not like you put a book in the Magical Movie Machine and turn the dials just so and get a movie, and if it's a good book the Magical Movie Machine will make a good movie.
