Also, in my uneducated opinion, it looked like Russia. The camera man sounded to be speaking some Slav-y language and the buildings looked like dull, drab Soviet architecture.

Mid way through, I thought blue should have split in two and flanked red on both sides...but then at the end it looked like Red had a group coming in from behind (or were those just left over reds from the first group)?

were they throwing flares at each other? Also, I think blue was actually the ones who were routed, as red seemed to remain on the scene. also the amount of friends-beating-on-friends must have been high.
