I actually liked this, mainly because it cut away most of the fat from the novels and turned it into a more coherent, better paced story. It was better made than the first series (I thought).
I still get slightly sickened by both the part of the book and movie that shows Leto covering himself with worm vomit. Ugh. No amount of superpowers and prolonged life could possibly make up for that. I wonder what it was like between the books where he covers himself in worm vomit and when he's a giant worm. I mean, eventually he had to have lost his fingers as they became flippery. How does one evolve into a giant worm? Do you just get fat first? How long did he appear bipedal? More importantly, who cleans up his worm poop?
These are burning questions and they need answers. Damn you, Frank Herbert.
