When I kiss my dog on the head like that, it's more of a deliberately belligerent gesture. I kiss her and say "Kissed you, Baron!" (like "tricked you, Baron" from Flash Gordon?) and then I say "and there's nothing you can do about it!" Then my dog will violently shake her head to rid herself of the icky affection, and will also usually sneeze in disgust.
Great story I know.
