i feel compelled to say that this guy is the shit. i've been looking to purchase my first handgun and he's been nothing but helpful in youtube communications, so it made me laugh when i saw this video making the rounds and that he was now getting hundreds of thousands of hits because of it

So he's the flintlocklaser of youtube. Also what did he recommend you get? I've been told a .22 pistol is a good first handgun but a bolt action .22LR is an even better first gun.

Just get a Glock 19. It's the best all-around beginners centerfire pistol.

Everybody always says start with a .22lr; I did, and it is fun, but honestly kinda boring and not a good representation of recoil from any other gun.

A 9mm is soft enough to be easy to handle and ammo is cheap so you can practice a lot.

Plus with the 19 you can add a light and use it for home defense, and it is still compact enough to carry if you ever want to get a CWL.

he recommended that one actually, the glock 23. i dont mind the kick of a .40 caliber and it has aftermarket conversion barrels so you can shoot 9mm out of it as well, which is supposed to be much cheaper than .40 .
