You know, people either love or hate this show. I always tell people that don't like it or "get" it, just look at it like it isn't supposed to make any sense. Like weird abstract art. I understand if you hate the concept of performance art. No one understood Mr. Show or Upright Citizens at the time, they were ahead of their time. But the people who got it and loved it? Devoted followers to the core. I like this show, but I respect the fact that some people hate it. I feel like they're missing out though.

Hooker The people that claim this is all intentionally lame and exactly as off-the-mark as they intended baffle me the same way that conspiracy theorists baffle me. The sheer amount of effort required to walk a thin line of a precise type of incompetence would be a staggering work of human genius, and what's more, it's occuring in two individuals at the same time! Is it so much harder to accept that these fairly standard jokes are just being delivered poorly by comedians with little talent?

StanleyPain I like T&E, but I don't think people who don't like it don't "get" it. I just assume they don't like it.
But I just wish they weren't such insufferable douchebags about it. I have never heard people ever be more in-your-face and excruciatingly annoying and awful about NOT liking something ever. No one on Earth actually writes more about Tim and Eric than the people who don't like them. It's kind of sad, really.

Which left the perfect opening for its counter culture hipster fan base to jump all over sheeple haters, thus reaffirming their believe that claiming to love the Emperor's gown made them geniuses.
Honest to god just go to POE-news' television forum and look at the essays and essays fans write about people who don't like their favorite show. People who don't like it spend zero time even thinking about the show until some obnoxious fan starts screeching again.
5 stars for the general public getting to see how horrible they actually are, kind of like when Conan went to the anime studio.
