But I am FASCINATED by the parrallel between eastern and western culture, in that the McNugget has much in common with chinese cuisine, in that the "chicken" in the nugget isn't neccessarily chicken...

Also, you ever see how they catch fruit bats in Sulawesi? They attach hooks along the length of kite strings and fly them at dusk. Now that's a kite sport. Fruit bat is disappointing though, it tastes like chicken.

That's arguable. And even granting that, just because it shows two Chinese kids who are good at martial arts, doesn't mean its affirming this of all Chinese people. If they show Americans playing football, or Australians throwing a boomerang, its not racist. Just showing people doing something identified with a nation (in this case the Crouching Tiger references) doesn't make it a stereotype.

Advertising requires stereotypes. A 30 second ad doesn't have time to give these kids a back story to make it PC. The kids are Chinese, they do Kung Fu, Bam you have your commercial.
