You take this intro sequence and tack on the ever popular Spy Who Loved Me theme and you get...a headache most likely...

I avoided it because of my love for the 1968 trainwreck by the same name, and not being the biggest post-Sean Connery Bond fan.

It was sublime; over 3 hours long and not an overly dull moment to be found. Unless you're overly beardy about James Bond and feel the rage rising at the fact that there's no Q and the only real gadget is a portable defibrilator, you'll probably have a blast.

Actually, if you're a real Bond beard, this movie will appeal to you for reconciling the literary Bond, the cinematic Bond, and the fact that keeping a character as a static parody of himself since the late 60s really doesn't work when that character's meant to be cool and cutting edge as a motherfucker.

And considering what we went through with Brosnan's intros, I couldn't find fault with this one if I tried, but I like psychedelica anyway.

I stand by the claim that this is the best Bond movie since Connery left the official franchise. In alot of ways, it was better than many of his as well.

AWESOME BOND INTRO!!!! (This is the first time I turned up the volume to full blast on my computer!) I consider myself a Bond movie intro conniseur. They are always my favorite part of the movie.

By contrast, the worst Bond movie intro was "For Your Eyes Only". It was just a Sheena Easton music video. Seriously. It was just her singing, walking around in a ton of white smoke. It deserves to be uploaded here as a terrible tragedy. This intro though, should be given an Oscar.

This is easily in the top three best Bond movies. Partly for Daniel Craig, and partly because they stopped pussyfooting around the fact that James Bond is a borderline-sociopathic murder-machine badass.
