There are three more good videos in the series (https://tinyurl.com/7db43dfx). If you like the bit about orbits I'd suggest playing with any of the orbit explorers online (https://tinyurl.com/ttmzb4wf, https://tinyurl.com/2c3ug9xu -- there's a Satanic pentagram in the lower left five-bulb of the cardiod). I love that there's a ton of complexity going on _inside_ the set, which is usually rendered a flat black because it's hard to visualize an infinite curved orbit at every pixel.
A silver lining of lockdown is I've had time to go back and re-learn complex numbers and how to multiply them (https://tinyurl.com/2lqoh99o). Treating them as vectors from the origin you basically multiply the magnitudes (which makes sense) and SUM THE ANGLES (fucking whaaaaat?) -- which totally weirded me out until I played with it by hand enough to appreciate on a gut level how "i" introduces a genuine ninety degree rotation into the number line. Which lets you get Mandelbrot and Julia sets, but also the 'why' behind Euler's Identity which has gotten so much Internet love.
