Growing up at my house there was a series of books from the late 70's covering all kinds of kids crafts and projects like this. Very few of them didn't end with a huge fucking mess and a very pissed off mom asking who was going to clean all this shit up. Or alternatively realizing that it took a long ass time for paper mache to dry and ruining the fun altogether. So basically, very little fun was ever had, and then we got a nintendo.
