This whole movie has nothing but vindictive disdain for it’s target audience. The whole thing is malicious intent.

One of the first times I felt old was around 2010. I was at a local hipster bar with some friends, and went to the bathroom. They always had an old 14" TV set with a movie playing on a table next to the sink in there, and that night it was that post-Henson Muppets Christmas movie, which I'd never seen.

So I was in there taking a piss and watchign some sequence where animal is literally doing a beer bong (of some kid friendly drink I'm sure, but whatever) and it was just empty and crass and depressing and completely missed what made the Muppets what they were.


This movie is like Animal doing a beer bong in a human face forever.

Highly recommended if you're a misanthrope.

80s Movie Executive: We don't have a budget, so we want the entire thing to take place in a mall. Kids love malls!
