I don't like them classifying documents as "harmful." It's too soupy a thing.
I mean, it was "harmful" to British Petroleum when evidence their lack of safety standards caused the Deepwater Horizon disaster. Video of Walter Scott being shot in the back was "harmful" to Officer Michael Slager. Evidence of rigged emissions tests was "Harmful" to Volkswagen. I'm sure other parties who had absolutely nothing to do with those things have suffered some injury indirectly as a result of these things coming to light, but suppress all news about wrongdoing in government and big business because that might happen?
Whenever we are asked to submit to new invasions of our privacy for "the greater good" we are always told, "If you've done nothing wrong, you've got no reason to worry." Well the same applies to everyone, assholes. If you don't like evidence of your malevolence and/or incompetence causing harm to leak out, then don't fucking do it in the first place.
