The Agenda 21 mandate calls for the U.S. population to be drugged and herded into a prison arcology and for all chainmail bikinis to be removed from video games.

What's especially frustrating is that there really is a lot of pay-for-good-reviews going on. It's just not done by evil female cultural marxists so they don't care.

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-10-26 It boggles the mind how people could be so stupid as to conflate the actual practice of investigative journalism with product reviews. It's like they came out of an egg or something last friday and they're all internet ready.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-10-26 Conflate? That assumes there's honest confusion.
They're trying to exploit ignorance under the guise of a righteous crusade (with plenty of war imagery to go around from a bunch of yahoos who've never been out of the country, let alone used a gun not made of polygons) to hate on people they never liked in the first place and/or could never get any willing sexual encounters from.

SolRo - 2014-10-26 If you believe the GG lies, then sex buying good reviews is evil and corrupt, while regular ol' money buying good reviews is just part of doing gaming business.
They cant even be consistent with their own propaganda.

Kid Fenris - 2014-10-26 Eh, game websites have news and features as well as reviews, so it's technically journalism AND opinion. Thing is, it's entertainment journalism, and that tends to be a puffball popularity contest even when it deals with more respected mediums.
Not that Gamergate gives a shit. As this video shows, Gamergate is rapidly becoming the Tea Party of nerd culture, complete with the inevitable cries of bias and collusion when something steps outside of their favored worldview.
I just hope someone calls up Alex Jones and tries to explain Gamergate as a conspiracy against Super Male Vitality.

Ah yes, the libertarian/misogynist/idiot axis....

If GamerGate is about ethics in journalism and not making death threats, then why do I only hear about them making death threats to people who have not benefited from journalistic collusion?

Jack Dalton - 2014-10-26
It all started when the Westwood College video game commercial first aired-- yet the dream of sitting on a couch with your bros playing video games for money was not realized by all. There was a perceived injustice that there are like 5 women making a living in game journalism, yet these special man-children who know so much more about video games are left behind. These fedora wearing video game experts cried foul in the most rational way possible: threatening more successful people and calling any woman who dares to have a career in video games a whore.

Gamergate was fabricated by Steam to justify yet another delay of Half Life 3.
|
oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2014-10-26 That's the brilliant thing--you can't delay something if you've never announced it in the first place
